How Stephania Varalli Became a Story Strategist. The very short version: I have always been obsessed with stories.
I penned my first short story when I was five years old. Objectively speaking, The Girl With the Longest Hair in the World wasn’t great, but it was the first spark of a lifelong passion for writing and storytelling. After earning a business degree and starting a career in advertising, I realized my passion could be applied for a different purpose: crafting stories that sell. I spent the next twenty-three years gaining experience in copywriting, marketing, and journalism, building my niche using stories to sell brands, products, people, and ideas. A few highlights along that journey:
The best part of all those experiences: Helping people who are brilliant at what they do tell their story better than they can themselves. So they can focus on what they do best (the world needs you!), and I can enjoy what I do best (which, if you skipped to the end, is telling stories). |
But don't take my word for it:
You know, I am not just saying this, but in all the articles that have been written on me this by far is the best and then some! Who is friggin amazing??? Stephania Varalli :) Mandy RennehanHost of HGTV's Trading Up with Mandy Rennehan | CEO & Founder Freshco.ca

I really admire what you did with this piece. I had a feeling during our interview that you’d do a good job because you asked such excellent (and surprising) questions. There have been a lot of stories written about me over the years—I invariably nit-pick my way through them and grimace about errors etc. Not your piece.” Sally ArmstrongAward-winning journalist | Former editor-in-chief of Homemakers | Contributing editor of Maclean's
